TOURNAI – A prisoner tried to take a prison
guard hostage by threatening him with a knife. Another guard managed to pull
the knife away. To protest against the violence and to demand more security and
staff, prison guards went on strike for several days. Police took over the
control of the prison.Three prison guards got injured during this hostage taking.
