BRUSSELS – The latest statistics of vandalism against the infrastructure of
the public transport network indicate a rising comparing to the last years. The
STIB (the company) says 30% of the incidents are tags and graffiti (cost: 1
million euro pro year), but also points out “gangs” which are attacking
systematically. The new gate entrances, supposed to help diminishing vandalism,
seem to actually attract it.
