BRUSSELS - Windows smashed, walls covered with paint, fire lightened in
the street. The residence of the Egyptian Ambassador in Belgium has been
targeted. In the night, around 1h30, several individuals threw stones
and broke the back side windows of the residence (n° 13 of Avenue
Franklin Roosevelt). They also threw paint against the building and
improvised a fire in front of the building. The Ambassador of Egypt,
Fatma El Zahraa Ottman, was in the building during the attack. A
diplomatic officer called the police. But at their arrival, the
attackers had already disappeared. Police didn't issue a report yet. The
Egyptian Ambassade sent a communiqué out, stating they didn't condemn
"any person nor group."
